CAIRO, (PIC)– Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the head of the international association of Muslim scholars, called Monday on the Arab and Muslim peoples to make next Friday a day of anger in support of the Aqsa Mosque against the Zionist dangers threatening it.

In a news conference held in the Egyptian press union in Cairo, Sheikh Qaradawi waned that the Zionist dangers that threaten the Mosque had reached an unprecedented level that must be confronted by all means possible.

For his part, MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular committee against the siege, called for escalating the Arab, Muslim and national positions to confront the ferocious Zionist attack against the Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem.Khudari affirmed that the Israeli occupation dares to attack the Mosque repeatedly due to the poor reaction of the Arab and Muslim worlds. He warned that the Israeli occupation will escalate during the coming days its attacks on the Mosque, where it geared up a large number of troops to face the Palestinian worshipers in Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.Hamas official in Jenin Sheikh Khaled Al-Hajj also denounced the silence surrounding the West Bank towards what is happening in Jerusalem as unjustified and proving the level of the suppressive policy practiced against the national movement there.Hajj called on the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah to allow the Palestinian factions in the West Bank to organize popular protests especially those organized in support of major national issues like that of the Aqsa Mosque.Palestinian minister of tourism Mohamed Al-Agha said Monday that what is happening against the Aqsa Mosque entails a massive Arab and Muslim revolt to defend it.Agha noted that Israeli settlers and troops ascended the roofs of schools and residential buildings overlooking the Aqsa Mosque with the aim of storming it and forcing out hundreds of Palestinian worshipers who are stationed inside. He warned that the holy Mosque is a red line and any aggression on it will make all options available to the Palestinian people to retaliate.
