Press Statement by Hamas

We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), followed the speech of the head of the Israeli terrorist government, Netanyahu, before Congress, and accordingly we affirm the following:

First: It would have been better to arrest Netanyahu as a war criminal and hand him over to the International Criminal Court instead of giving him an opportunity to polish his face before the world and cover up the mass killings and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip.

Second: At a time when the prime minister of the terrorist occupation government is leading a brutal war aimed at exterminating our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and in which all international laws, customs, and humanitarian treaties designed to protect civilians are being violated in a way that modern history has never witnessed, the US Congress receives a speech from war criminal Netanyahu, in which he repeats the degrading propaganda and lies that he spread more than nine months ago, which were proven false, and which he used as an excuse to commit the most horrific crimes against women, children, and the elderly in the Gaza Strip.

Third: Netanyahu tried to play on emotions, distort the facts, and promote false narratives about October 7, while Israeli and international investigations confirmed the falsehood of these claims and confirmed that the Israeli army committed mass murders of Israeli civilians around the Gaza Strip.

Fourth: Netanyahu’s speech reflects the depth of his military, security, and international crises, as he tried to cover it up publicly with the philosophy of defeats suffered by his army in Gaza and promoting fake victories by liberating a number of prisoners, forgetting the horrific massacres he committed against civilians in Rafah and Nuseirat during their liberation.

Fifth: Netanyahu’s talk about intensified efforts to return the hostages is a complete lie and misleading Israeli, American, and international public opinion, while he is the one who thwarted all efforts aimed at ending the war and concluding a deal to release the prisoners, despite the continuous efforts of mediators from the brothers in Egypt and Qatar despite the flexibility and positivity shown by the movement. We hold Netanyahu full responsibility for the repercussions of this situation and for the fate of the prisoners in the Gaza Strip.

Sixth: All human rights and international reports have confirmed that Netanyahu and his army committed mass killings and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, which have not been seen in contemporary world wars. They used starvation tactics, blocked aid, burned and destroyed the Rafah border crossing, and killed many humanitarian workers. This clearly disproves his claims about allowing aid to reach the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Seventh: By continuing to provide all means of political and military support to the occupation and giving the government of Zionist terrorists the necessary cover to escape punishment, and by providing the Congressional platform to wash the hands of fascist war criminals from the blood of innocent children, instead of holding them accountable for their crimes against humanity; Rather, the US government confirms its full partnership in the heinous violations committed in the Gaza Strip, a war of extermination, starvation, and destruction of all aspects of life, which the world is witnessing in audio and video.

Eighth, we in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirm that the visions of war criminal Netanyahu about the future of the Gaza Strip are mere illusions and fantasies he tries to promote. The Palestinian people alone have the right to determine their fate and decide who governs them. They have chosen to rally around the option of resistance and confront the occupation wherever it exists, until it is defeated from our pure land and our independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is established.

Ninth: Netanyahu’s attack on the axis of resistance reflects the depth of his military and security crisis due to the open fronts, which require more action from all fronts and arenas to defeat the criminal Zionist entity.

Tenth: We call on the United Nations, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take a clear stance rejecting the occupation, work towards ending it by all means, and support the steadfastness of our Palestinian people and their resistance so that they can use their right to return and self-determination according to international law, which the Nazi-Zionist occupation violates.

Our patient and steadfast Palestinian people together with their brave and heroic resistance, who are facing a brutal war that represents the culmination of the occupation’s failed attempts to eradicate them, (extending for more than seventy-six years) will continue, along with all the resistance forces and free people of the world, to confront this fascist aggression until it is broken and defeated from our land and our sanctities.
