A few days ago on Oct 7
Someone living in the masters White house
planted a pomegranate tree
Whose roots, she hoped,
will become strong
And bring support
For… some people
As I write
in that land that has been troubled upon
her settler friends uproot another olive tree
…One of millions
in a nearby village
two more are planted
to take the place of the fallen
Soon its new roots will touch the toes of the defiant ones
Ready to shoot
Ready to mature
Ready to olive (all-live)
