MJC and MRN are outraged at the blatant Islamophobic conspiracies fuelled by Willem Els & ISS

The Media Review Network and Muslim Judicial Council are outraged at the blatant Islamophobic reporting peddled by Amanda Khoza of News24.

Without providing any collaborative evidence, Khoza takes the allegations of Muslim ‘radicalisation’ of children peddled by Institute for Security Studies researcher, Willem Els, as the gospel truth.

The ISS is known for pushing the Muslim bogeyman as euphemism for terrorism on the continent using questionable sources and agenda-based foreign experts and intelligence services.

We express our indignation at attempts by the ISS and like-minded academics, institutions, and Islamophobic lobby groups such as South African Jewish Board of Deputies and the South Affica Zionist Federation to use the media to stir up Islamophobia in South Africa whilst remaining willfully ignorant and turning a blind eye to South African Jews and Zionists who become radicalised by serving in the Zionist entity’s terror forces, especially during the ongoing Gaza Genocide. They then come back to SA and radicalise other members of the Zionist community who, in turn, peddle Islamophobia in media, religious institutions and academic spaces.

The MRN and the MJC call upon media, activists, and civil society not to fall prey to attempts by ISS, SAJBD and SAZF to distract the National Prosecuting Authority from prosecuting Jewish and Zionist citizens who have served in the Zionist entity’s terror forces in violation of the Foreign Military Assistance Act.

Media, academic spaces, religious institutions, and civil society are called up to become cognizant of Islamophobia peddling lobby groups and so-called terrorism experts and institutions.

Attempts to peddle Islamophobic hate must not be allowed to succeed.
