Eid ul-Fitr Mubarak to Our Beloved Ummah!

 By Dr Ahmed Haroon Jazbhay

As we are about to celebrate this blessed day of Eid ul-Fitr, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the countless blessings of Allah (SWT), yet they are also heavy with the pain of our brothers and sisters in the ummah enduring hardship across the world—especially in Palestine, where the Ummah’s suffering is felt most deeply.

This Eid, as we embrace our loved ones and share in the joy of this sacred occasion, let us remember those who are fasting not by choice but by force, those who are mourning instead of celebrating, and those who are praying for safety rather than feasting. Their struggle is our struggle, their pain is our pain, for the Ummah is one body—when one part aches, the whole body feels it.

But even in the darkest nights, the dawn of hope remains. The promise of Allah (SWT) is true:

“So, surely after hardship comes ease. Surely with hardship comes ease.” (Qur’an 94:5-6)

Palestine has endured decades of oppression, yet its people stand steadfast, their faith unshaken, their resilience unbroken in their quest to eliminate Israel from Palestine.

Their courage is a beacon of hope for all of us. This Eid, let us renew our commitment to them—through prayer, through action, through unwavering support. Let us be their voice, their strength, and their hope.

May this Eid bring not just moments of joy, but also the resolve to stand for justice, to uplift the oppressed, and to trust in Allah’s divine wisdom. The Ummah will rise, justice will prevail, and the dawn of victory is near—by the will of Allah.

May Allah ease the suffering of the oppressed, grant us strength in our struggles, and unite our hearts in faith, hope, and love.
