Tehran – ISNA – The spokesman for the Yemeni Ansarullah Popular Movement stated: Washington’s airstrikes on Yemen are an aggression against an independent country and encourage Israel to cruelly blockade Gaza.
The Ansarullah official said: US President Donald Trump’s claims about the danger threatening international shipping in Bab al-Mandab are to mislead world public opinion.
He clarified: The maritime ban that Yemen has announced in support of Gaza is limited only to Israeli shipping until aid is allowed to enter.
The Ansarullah spokesman stressed that international shipping in the Red Sea from Yemen will remain safe and that the US airstrikes are a return to the militarization of these waters.
He also said that the US airstrikes and its militarization of the Red Sea are in fact a serious threat to international shipping in the region.
The political office of the movement also issued a statement saying that the US and British attack on the residential areas of Sanaa was a treacherous and criminal aggression, and targeting civilians and important points in the city is a full-fledged war crime.
In its statement, the office considered the targeting of civilians as another proof of American terrorism against nations and countries opposing it, and emphasized that the US and British attack shows that America has fought and is still fighting on behalf of the Zionist regime.
The Ansarullah Political Bureau, noting that the US and British attack on Yemen was carried out in response to Yemen’s stance in support of the Palestinian people, emphasized that this attack will never deter Yemen from continuing its support for Palestine and fulfilling its duties in supporting Gaza.
The Yemeni institution also emphasized in the end: This attack will never remain unanswered and the Yemeni armed forces are fully prepared to respond to tension with tension.
