The Media Review Network (MRN) notes social media speculation of a potential ceasefire between the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, and the settler coloniser, strangely being brokered bilaterally between Hamas and the US.
During the days and perhaps weeks to come, a perennial question may soon be laid to rest. Is it the dog that wags the tail, or the tail that wags the dog?
Reports indicate that Hamas will release 10 live prisoners of war and a further 16 deceased ones, the latter murdered by their army during the unfolding genocide, in exchange for thousands of Palestinian political prisoners languishing in the coloniser’s dungeons and 1000 aid trucks daily.
The US has promised a 70-day truce and a security guarantee that there would be no return to the genocide.
Reports have also been abound in the last month of a rift between Trump and Melikovsky (Netanyahu), with the former reportedly severing contact. Analysts initially dismissed this as political theatre, but there may now appear to be some truth in those reports.
The immense power of the Zionist lobby (AIPAC) in the US is an open secret, with the lobby financing the campaigns of thousands of Senators and Congressmen since the 1960s. Donald Trump himself is a major beneficiary of Zionist largess, receiving no less than $100m from Miriam Adelson during his second term campaign.
The answer to this question may soon be settled once and for all. Can the Trump American administration exercise agency and leverage over the Zionist entity, or is the power of the Zionist lobby in the US too powerful to counter?
Time will soon tell whether it is the Trump Administration in charge of Washington or the Zionist entity via AIPAC.
Over to you, Donald J. Trump!
