As the blessed day of Eid are almost upon us, the Media Review Network extends our warmest greetings to the Muslim Ummah worldwide.
In this moment of spiritual celebration, we are reminded of the profound essence of Eid: gratitude to Allah (SWT) for His boundless mercy and the strength to complete a period of worship and reflection.
This Eid arrives while our brothers and sisters in the Ummah face immense trials. We are deeply conscious of the escalating aggression and the sounds of bombardment that replace the peaceful takbirat in lands far and near.
We witness with heavy hearts the closure of Al Aqsa musjid by the Zionist enemy and the devastating US-‘Israeli’ unprovoked and illegal war on the Islamic Republic of Iran, an act of aggression that has resulted in hundreds of casualties and brought unprecedented instability and devastation to the region.
As a solidarity organisation committed to truth in media, we stand in solidarity with the oppressed and condemn the aggression against the sovereignty of a brotherly Muslim nation.
In times of such extreme hardship, we turn to the words of Allah (SWT) for solace and direction. The Holy Quran reminds us:
“O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain steadfast and fear Allah that you may be successful.” (Surah Al-Imran, 3:200)
This verse calls us to steadfastness. The current turmoil, marked by attacks on innocent children and civilians and the spread of insecurity across the Middle East, is a stark reminder of the importance of unity and patience.
We pray for the protection of all innocent life and for the strength of the Palestinian and Iranian people and the wider region in the face of this adversity.
Furthermore, we are reminded of the ultimate promise of divine justice. Allah (SWT) commands justice and reminds us that oppression, no matter how powerful the oppressor, shall not prevail.
We pray for the acceptance of the sacrifices of those who have lost their lives and loved ones to this senseless aggression .
We call upon the international community to awaken from its slumber and act to halt the the Zionist/American-induced bloodshed and prevent this conflict from engulfing the entire region.
Let this Eid be a turning point towards peace, justice, and the restoration of dignity for all.
May Allah (SWT) accept our fasts and prayers, grant victory to the oppressed, and shower His mercy upon the Ummah.
Eid Mubarak.
