Controversial SAfm presenter Eric Miyeni has been booted from the airwaves for allegedly inciting xenophobia and using hate speech during one of his shows.

Miyeni was taken off air last week for discussing black-on-black violence and the role of refugees in their host countries in a show broadcast nearly five weeks ago.

The Muslim Judicial Council SA (MJC) is conducting a Press Conference on Wednesday 21 October to declare their full support for the Somali Community, who has come under attack by Hussein Solomons. The MJC will be addressing statements made by Solomon’s without substantiated evidence of having Al Qaeda operatives within their community who intend to attack US interests during the FIFA World Cup in 2010.

The MJC has engaged with the Somali community on various occasions and fully supports their right as a law abiding people to be respected by affording them evidence.

Solomon’s on going abuse of the media wherein he continuosly tries to discredit the Mulsim community will also be addressed.
