The Media Review Network (MRN) is appalled at the recent spate of bombings by Israel in the occupied Gaza and condemns the Netanyahu regime for inhumane brutality.
These co-ordinated aerial attacks have resulted in huge casualties including death and injuries. In the last 24 hours more than twenty Palestinians have been killed and scores wounded.
The MRN deplores the silence and inaction of the international community, particularly the United States of America, Britain, France and their puppets in the Arab League.
We also note with alarm the inability of the United Nations to rein in this rogue apartheid regime and to hold it accountable for horrible war crimes perpetrated routinely in complete disregard of International Laws and the Geneva Convention.
The MRN calls on the South African government to urgently intervene on behalf of Gaza’s besieged population and demand a halt to Israel’s campaign of murder and mayhem.
We also call on South African civil societies to intensify their solidarity for Palestine’s victims and to re-double their efforts in support of Palestine’s freedom struggle.
The MRN remains committed to its advocacy of fundamental human rights and the demise of Israeli apartheid.
