Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) Press Statement: Day of Mayhem and Bloodshed

AMERICAN CONSULATE SANDTON DRIVE SOUTH AFRICA ,    15 MAY 2018 (AL NAKBA DAY)

 Day of Mayhem and Bloodshed

The slaughter of Palestinians on Nakba  day is nothing less than ethnic cleansing  and  genocide.

The Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) together with advocacy rights groups will be handing over a MEMORANDUM TO THE UNITED STATES CONSULATE GENERAL IN JOHANNESBURG SOUTH AFRICA, ON 15 MAY 2018 (AL NAKBA DAY),  which  serves to notify the government of the United States that we the people of South Africa and the representatives of civil society,  the Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) and  advocacy rights groups reject any moves relating to the alteration of the internationalised status of Jerusalem.

Under no circumstances shall the Palestinians and the international community accept such an arbitrary unilateral decision announced by President Trump on 06 December 2017 to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Never shall we ever accept and/or acquiesce to any alteration to the moral, cultural and religious demographic identity of the Holy City of Jerusalem which has been custodian to the monotheistic Abrahamic faiths for centuries.

We unequivocally reject the Zionist apartheid state of Israel of having any portion of Jerusalem (East or West) as its capital city without the express agreement of Palestinians duly endorsed by the international community.

We also condemn in the strongest terms the massacre of 55 Palestinians, including children, by Israeli forces.

The Memorandum will be handed over to the US Consulate at 15H00 on 15 May 2018.
