Istanbul, Turkiye, Friday 26th April 2024: We welcome the unequivocal support of the UN High Commission for Human Rights for the Freedom Flotilla for Gaza, Palestine.
Apartheid Israel under international law is duty bound to grant safe passage for the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, whose ships departing Türkiye will be carrying 5,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid and hundreds of international humanitarian observers to the besieged Gaza Strip.
As international activists standing in solidarity with the people of Gaza, we demand that Apartheid Israel heeds the order of the International Court of Justice by ensuring unimpeded access and ensuring that critical supplies of food, medicine and other necessities reaches the people of Gaza many of whom are on the brink of starvation and afflicted by the extended period of starvation, suffering and trauma.
It is totally unacceptable that the Zionist entity has used starvation as an instrument of genocide by denying access to the basic necessities of life including food, power, water, fuel and destroying health and social infrastructure.
This is the worst chapter in recent human history and the cruelty and barbaric treatment meted out to innocent civilians, evidenced in the two mass graves at Al Shifaa Hospital as well as the Al Nasser Hospital makes it very clear that the Zionist entity’s agenda is no less than extermination of the people of Gaza and all of Occupied Palestine.
The Freedom Flotilla for Gaza, Palestine is a symbol of the international resistance to the occupation and genocide and we appeal to the international community and especially the government of Türkiye to support the Freedom Flotilla and to ensure that it sails to Gaza and that much needed aid is delivered before the humanitarian disaster is further aggravated.
