The Hamas Movement has condemned a Saturday strike that killed a family of five in Gaza City, calling it a “deliberate war crime” and “part of the ongoing Israeli genocide.”
“Such ongoing crimes expose the true nature of the fascist Israeli occupation,” Hamas said yesterday, accusing Israel of exploiting “unjustified international silence” to continue its genocidal campaign in Gaza under the cover of the ceasefire agreement.
Hamas called on the US administration and ceasefire mediators to intervene immediately to curb Israel’s ongoing crimes against Palestinians in Gaza, urging them to uphold their commitments to the agreement.
Hamas also urged the international community and its institutions to fulfill their responsibilities by holding Israel and its leaders, whom it called “war criminals,” accountable for their “horrific crimes against humanity.”
An Israeli airstrike on a home in Gaza City’s an-Nasr neighborhood killed a couple and their three children, and left several others wounded on Saturday evening. The attack brought the total number of fatalities in the city yesterday to 10.
