Palestinians Will Not Abandon Their Land
Palestinian Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhalah said Tuesday that Palestinians remain steadfast against Israeli-US aggression and will continue defending their historical rights, Al Mayadeen reported.
His statement marked the movement’s 39th anniversary and the third anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Al-Nakhalah described the operation as a “natural response to Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people,” saying Palestinians had endured continuous aggression for three years.

He said the aggression was entering its fourth year with more than 80,000 Palestinians killed. Those killed across the different fronts, he added, would remain present in history.
The Islamic Jihad leader condemned continuing attempts to displace Palestinians from Gaza, calling them “clear evidence of the malicious objectives of the entity and its allies, foremost among them the United States.”
He stressed that “thousands of Palestinians confronted the enemy with great resolve.”
Al-Nakhalah said Palestinians would not surrender their land to those responsible for the killing and would continue resisting through all available means as long as the “Zionist project remains in place.”
Ceasefire Initiatives and Captive Releases
Al-Nakhalah said the Resistance had proposed numerous initiatives and engaged positively with mediators seeking a ceasefire.
Despite those efforts, he said, “the enemy dismissed all the initiatives and continued its aggression, expanding its scope to include the West Bank.”
He accused Israel of continuing to kill and displace Palestinians despite diplomatic initiatives and the release of captives.
“Despite dozens of initiatives and the Resistance releasing enemy captives,” the occupation had continued its attacks, he said.
Al-Nakhalah renewed Islamic Jihad’s commitment to jihad and resistance and affirmed that pressure would not break cooperation between Resistance forces.
“The unity of the Resistance forces in Palestine and the region will remain in place and cohesive regardless of the challenges and pressures,” he said.
Tribute to Lebanon and Yemen
Al-Nakhalah described the regional confrontation with Israel as “a battle of one nation against one enemy,” Al Mayadeen reported.
He paid tribute to the Lebanese people and their Resistance for supporting Gaza, saying they had fought Israeli forces and lost fighters in those battles.
Al-Nakhalah also saluted “the dear Yemeni people and their fighters who stood firm on the battlefield and offered honorable martyrs without retreat.”
His remarks emphasized continued cooperation between Palestinian Resistance forces and their regional allies despite the pressures facing them.
Al-Nakhalah concluded by paying tribute to Sayyed Ali Khamenei, saying his martyrdom would remain a major symbol against “Zionist arrogance and the Israeli project in the region.”
