US Grand Strategy Requires Compliance By Obama & Puppets Such As Abu Mazen

By Iqbal Jassat

"The America that Obama heads today is no different to the British Empire of yesterday. And the hostility generated by its behaviour as some of Obama’s supporters have warned is also enhanced by its presence – its very size – that intrudes on the world."

Does America possess a grand strategy or is President Obama’s challenge to manage US power without decreasing its size and without imposing undue costs on it?

Though it appears that there may well be a lack of strategic thinking, Stratfor Global Intelligence’s George Friedman warns that inaction should not be confused with a lack of strategy.

His document titled “Obama and the US Strategy of Buying Time” claims that despite pending decisions that Obama has to make on Iran, Afghanistan and Russia, work is in progress.

The palestinians the perspective of permanent revolution

Repeated attempts by Mahmoud Abbas and the Fatah leadership to restore their flagging authority amongst the Palestinian masses have only underscored the abject failure of Fatah’s perspective of securing a Palestinian state through an agreement with Israel and its sponsor, the United States.

Abbas, whose presidential term has already expired, has announced that he would not stand in the elections scheduled for January 24, while his spokesmen threatened the collapse of the Palestinian Authority. He did so after being humiliated by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who publicly ditched calls for a settlement freeze that are part of the so-called Road Map for peace in the Middle East. Clinton also praised Israel for making “unprecedented” concessions in offering to limit their construction.

Hezbollah will remain armed, so says Lebanon much to the chagrin of Israel

nasrallah

By Iqbal Jassat

Exactly 66 years since Lebanon gained it’s independence from French colonialism, the war-torn country took another major leap worthy of celebration.

President Michel Suleiman’s government of Lebanon issued a policy declaration on November 26th, 2009 that has been described as the most important decision the new unity government has taken since coming to power.

The declaration, not surprisingly, has rocked the American/Israel axis of power for it categorically affirms the right of Hezbollah to remain armed.

It reads: “It is the right of the Lebanese people, Army and the Hezbollah led resistance to liberate the Shebaa Farms, the Kfar Shuba Hills and the northern part of the village of Ghajar as well as to defend Lebanon and it’s territorial waters in the face of the enemy by all available and legal means”.

South Africa compares Isaraeli evicting palestinians from east jerusalem to apartheid

The South African government issued a statement condemning Israel for approving 900 new housing units in Gilo and evicting Palestinians from their East Jerusalem homes, comparing Israel’s actions to the ‘forced removals’ of the apartheid era.

"We condemn the fact that Israeli settlement expansion in East Jerusalem is coupled with Israel’s campaign to evict and displace the original Palestinian residents from the City," the statement said. "South Africa is deeply concerned that these activities by Israel will only serve only to deepen the cycle of violence in the region," it added.

The statement said "South Africa is aware of the statements of the Palestinian leadership that this settlement expansion on the part of Israel will result in an increase in the Israeli settler population over the next two years that will exceed the previous two."
