The Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir, while describing the visit of Indian All-Party delegation to Srinagar as meaningless, has said that Kashmiris should be given right to decide their political future in a free atmosphere.
The spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said that all the pro-India parties and their leaders were already well aware of the ground situation in the occupied territory but were turning a blind eye to it.
He said that besides committing gross human rights violations, India had also imposed ban on freedom of local press so that the world could not know about the real situation of occupied Kashmir.
The spokesman said that giving right to self-determination to Kashmiris was a pre-requisite for maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir, in particular, and, South Asia, in general.
