March to Egyptian Embassy

Comments are closed.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance and the Egyptian community in South Africa, will be holding a protest demonstration outside the Egyptian Embassy, situated at 270 Bourke Street, Sunnyside,  Tshwane (Pretoria). The protest will be held at 1pm on Saturday, 25th January, 2014.

The Media Review Network fully supports this initiative by the Egyptian Community of South Africa. The military coup in Egypt on July 3rd, 2013, was illegal and an affront to democracy and an insult to all free and justice loving people of the world.  The West had redefined democracy as a process that is not solely determined at the ballot box, although the poll represents “the people’s will.”

There is no parallel in modern history to these events in Egypt, which have  effortlessly stripped people of their will. This setback to the march of freedom and democracy in a region that has been plagued with despotism, repression, foreign domination, an d corruption, could not have taken place without the active scheming and subversive action by external influences and Mubarak loyalists.

The Media Review Network call on South Africans of all persuasions to support the Egyptian Community in South Africa and the Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance in their call for the return to democracy in their country.
