African National Congress supports Israeli Apartheid Week

The Media Review Network(MRN) salutes the decision by the African National Congress (ANC) to back Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) which is an the international human rights campaign to highlight the plight of the beleaguered people of Palestine.
The IAW aims to raise global awareness of Israel’s human rights violations against the ethnic citizens of historic Palestine.
The ANC, the largest political party in South Africa has once again demonstrated that our liberation was secured as a result of the worldwide support we received. Consistent with their policy to recognise the contribution of the transnational community to our emancipation, the ANC has thrown its weight behind the struggle of the Palestinians against the inhumane treatment meted out by the Zionist occupiers of their land.
The MRN hopes that as the ruling party in Government, the ANC will remain committed by invoking all the necessary measures to secure justice for the Palestinians following the global IAW campaign.
