What is the US doing in Iraq?

The Media Review Network is deeply concerned at the escalation of tensions in the Middle East as a result of US rogue adventurism in the region and elsewhere in the world.

The pre-dawn raid on Baghdad’s International Airport assassinated General Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran‘s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ foreign arm (IRGC‘s), was an act of unprovoked aggression by the US and her allies in the region. This act of naked violence and belligerence also assassinated Iraq’s Military Commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandas. This led to the widespread demonstration and attacks on the US embassy in Baghdad.

General Soleimani was responsible for the increase in Iranian influence in the region, which the US allies, Israel and Saudi Arabia found unacceptable and difficult to deal with.

This act of international terrorism will most certainly lead to increased resistance to the presence of the US in the region.

A response from the Iranian authorities has warned that a strong “revenge” can be expected.

The Media Review Network calls on our Government not to remain subdued and muted as the US foreign policies bulldoze and ravage many parts of the world, especially our continent, including Libya, Algeria and Zimbabwe.
